Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 6, 13 and 15 of the United Nations and within the framework of the celebration of the dates related to the environment, our corporate Environment department carried out a series of educational activities with the purpose to raise awareness about the importance and care of our natural resources among employees through SEMANA VERDE.
One of the initiatives carried out consisted of the delivery of more than 2,000 fruit plants through the Human Resources departments of the companies part of Elcatex Group, in order to promote reforestation in the communities where they live.
Also, during the week, two webinars were held: the first day was held on Tuesday 31 under the name “Cuida que se Agota” with a presentation by Henry Gudiel from Water For People; The second webinar “Choloma Verde” was held on June 1 with the intervention of Tania Solano from the Municipal Environmental Unit of the Mayor’s Office of Choloma.
Important Data: Our contribution as a socially responsible company begins with awareness campaigns with our collaborators and suppliers for the care of the environment, the use of clean technologies in our processes and wastewater treatment for sustainable sanitation.
At the end of the week, we invited the entire organization to wear a green shirt to promote the culture and commitment that We Care and Make a Difference with the environment.
